Mild, Dry Weekend!

THIS MORNING: If you are heading out, temperatures will stay in the 40’s for most of the morning, but with a decent amount of sunshine. Some areas north of Indy may have some patchy fog.

REST OF TODAY: Expect clouds to mix with sun, and we should see mild weather. Highs will hit the mid 50’s

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: Notre Dame has a game at 2:30, and of course the Old Oaken Bucket game down in Bloomington will pit IU and Purdue against each other. Weather should be great for both places.

THIS EVENING: Evening looks to be nice, and mild for mid-November!

SUNDAY: Weather should be very nice and maybe a degree or two warmer. Highs will hit the mid to upper 50’s.

Weekend Forecast

The weekend is here and so is a dry weather pattern. Skies will be partly cloudy through early Saturday. Forecast lows are in the 30s and highs in the 50s.

Expect a mix of sun and clouds on Saturday and Sunday.

There will be a few more clouds on Sunday, but temperatures stay above the average by about 5 degrees.

Stay with Forecast 8 into the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, as we track a developing weather system. Right now the rain will arrive on Tuesday and there will be some wet roads for the busy travel day on Wednesday. Stay tuned for any and all updates.

Finally Dry

After 4 days in a row with rain, the weather pattern is finally dry. Skies will be partly cloudy this evening and overnight, as lows are forecast near 40 degrees. With some sun, highs rebound into the middle 50s. Highs on Saturday and Sunday will be about 5 degrees above average for late November.

The weekend weather pattern will be dry too. Here is the latest analysis with Forecast 8 Futurecast.

There is a slight chance for a few sprinkles on Sunday, but the better chance for rain won’t arrive until Tuesday of next week. This developing storm system will be something that the Forecast 8 team tracks closely. Right now is scheduled to bring rain chance to the area on Tuesday, with a blast of colder on the way for Thanksgiving. This will have an impact as you travel for the holiday, so stay tuned for any and all updates.

The fog has moved out and the sunshine is back in the forecast! Finally! We have has several days of clouds and dreary weather, now the sunshine is back just in time for the weekend!!

Dense Fog Advisory Extended Until 11am

Dense fog has been slow to lift across Indiana this morning. As a result, the National Weather Service has extended the Dense Fog Advisory until 11am. I still expect some afternoon sunshine.

A Dense Fog Advisory continues until 10am this morning. Once the fog lifts, skies should become partly sunny with highs in the 50s.

Dense fog has now rolled into Marion County. A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 10AM!

Latest visibilities have gone down to a quarter mile in Marion County. Allow extra time if heading off to work or school. The fog should burn off after 9am.

Watch Out For Early Morning Fog

The good news is the rain has come to an end. The bad news is we have areas of dense fog. Visibilities are down to a quarter mile in some spots. Once the fog burns off, skies will become partly sunny and highs will climb into the lower 50s.

The weekend should be nice with mainly dry conditions. Moisture passing to our south may produce a few sprinkles Sunday afternoon. I would not cancel plans as most of the weekend should be dry.

Rain Ending Now

The rain has finally ended, after 4 straight days with rain. As the skies clear overnight, watch for a few patches of fog early Friday. It will be cool too.

Expect a mix of sun and clouds on Friday and Saturday, as the drier weather trend continues. The area of low pressure along the Gulf Coast may swing a shower our way late Sunday or early Monday.

Forecast highs are in the middle 50s.

Stay with Forecast 8 as the Thanksgiving holiday weekend approaches…right now the weather could impact travel plans. We will keep you updated on the developing storm system that is forecast to arrive on Tuesday, bringing rain chances.
