Motivation Monday: Do You Have A Fear of Driving on the Highway?

Do you have “Highway Anxiety?” High traffic, impatient drivers, and inattentive cell phone users have ushered in a new fear that’s causing many people to lose their sense of freedom. People are suddenly finding themselves experiencing severe anxiety when driving on busy roads and freeways.

One such person described it in this way. “People drive so fast and I keep thinking I’m going to get run off the road or squished by one of those big trucks! I get so worked up and it feels like I’m having a panic attack. Now I can’t get myself to go back on those roads, which severely limits my ability to get around town.”

If you’ve had similar thoughts or if you constantly find yourself applying that imaginary break when others are driving you around, then watch this week’s addition of “Motivation Monday,” as your success coach, Tim Shurr, MA, reveals 3 tips from his book, Get Out of Your Way: How To Eliminate Self-Sabotage and Win Your Life! for how to overcome “Highway Anxiety!”
