Butler police investigate armed robbery near campus

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Butler University Police Department sent out an alert early Wednesday morning about an armed robbery that happened near campus.

According to tweets from the university, it happened in the 300 block of Buckingham.

Officers were searching the Butler-Tarkington area for the suspect, who was described as a male in dark clothing.

Police say the victim noticed a white SUV after the incident.

Officers said they were unable to locate the suspect in the area but urged anyone who may notice anything suspicious to call police.
